JOHN W. JOHNSON, 1902-1976
John W. Johnson, 74, 1823 N. Tyler, died early today at a local hospital. He was born Dec., 9, 1902, in Topeka, where he lived his entire life. He was a nursery man for Skiner's Nursery for more than 50 years until retiring in 1974. Mr. Johnson was a member of the North Topeka Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher and a deacon.

On Nov. 22, 1931, he was married to Rose Reedy. She survives at the home. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Dister, 2547 N.W. 62nd, and Virginia Johnson, of the home; two sisters, Anna Johnson, 1014 N.W. 8th, and Mrs. Lillie Higgins, Rolla; four brothers, Joe Johnson, 3332 Ohio, Frank Johnson, 1815 N. West, George Johnson, Little Rock, Ark., and Dave Johnson, 1802 N. Polk; two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.

Services are pending at Davidson-Duff Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery.
