Mr. Reynolds was born January 23, 1896, at Berdan, a son of Richie and Eva Pinkerton Reynolds, and has always made his home in this vicinity. He was married to Celia Freer of Rockbridge on October 24, 1923.
He is survived by his wife; three children, Mrs. Betty Van Gerpen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Richard, at home, and Mrs. Phyllis Bushnell of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Jo Anna, Thomas, and Jon Van Gerpen, and Julie Marie Bushnell; three sisters, Mrs. Curtis Blair, Murrayville; Mrs. N. L. McQueery, Carrollton, and Mrs. Carl Peters, White Hall, and two brothers, David of Woodson, and Ross of Plant City, Florida. One brother, Leslie, preceded him in death in 1952.
Mr. Reynolds was a member of the Berdan Baptist church and had been Sunday School Superintendent there for the past 23 years. He was a Mason and a charter member of the Greene County Farm Bureau. Before his failing health he was active in community and school activities.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Ben Bohn Monday afternoon at Berdan Baptist church and interment was in White Hall cemetery.
The pallbearers were Edward Roodhouse, Ennis Tunison, Lyndell Reynolds, Randall Peters, Kenyon Reynolds and Warren Reynolds.
Arrangements were by the Simpson Funeral Home.
