Chester S. Haber, 87 of Weirton passed away April 1, 2011 at the Weirton Geriatric Center. He was born December 15, 1923 in Weirton, WV, the son of the late Karol and Katazyna Surdyka Haber. His brothers Frank Haber and Florian Haber and sister Sophie Koper also preceded him in death.

Chester retired from the Weirton Steel Company with 43 years of service as an electrician in the wire gang. He was a member of the 25 year club of Weirton Steel, the PNA Lodge and Sacred Heart of Mary Church. He served his country during WWII in the United States Marines.

He is survived by his wife Florence (Koper) Haber of Weirton; daughters
Lorraine Tluchowski and her husband Casimir; Linda Hoge and her husband Robert of Weirton; Loretta Winterhalter and her husband Michael of Granger, IN; granddaughters Adeline Haber- Hoge of Atlanta, GA and Anna Winterhalter of Granger, IN.

Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be Tuesday, April 5, 2011, 10:00AM at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Weirton, WV.

Interment will be at St Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
