Mary A. Beck married Henry Guipe on 27 Apr 1854 in Madisonburg, PA. They came to Elkhart, Indiana in 1862. Henry Guipe died about 10 weeks before Mary Guipe did.
She died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ella (Wm.) Leininger, in Elkhart. Her funeral was held at the same home.
In addition to Mrs. Leininger, she was also survived by another daughter, Mrs. Sabiliah (John) Mountjoy, and a son Myron S. Guipe.
