Christine Bramlett Hagood, 88, of Augusta, formerly of Marietta died Monday, September 13, 2010.
Services were held at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Dr. Greg DeLoach officiating. Interment was in Mt. View Cemetery.
Mrs. Hagood was born in Ellijay and lived in Augusta for the past 5 years but lived in Marietta most of her life. She graduated from Marietta High School in 1939 and attended Business School. She worked with Stephens Lumber Company, McNeill Marble Company, Maple Avenue Methodist Church and City clerk of Woodstock. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Marietta for over 60 years also serving as the pastors secretary. She was active in the WMU Womens Organization and Phebian Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Hagood is survived by one daughter, Vickie H. and her husband, Robert Cantrell of Augusta; two grandchildren, Mark Alan Cantrell and his wife, Sarah, Julie Cantrell Sellers and her husband, Michael; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, George "Barnie" Hagood; son, David B. Hagood; granddaughter, Rachel Christine Cantrell; sister, Edna B. Hawkins, Irene Mulkey, Louise Poor; brother, William Clyde Bramlett.
