Clyde Walker Pruett, 77, passed away Thursday in St. Vincents Hospital in Billings.
He was born on December 20, 1914, in Mound, Texas, the son of James Calvin and Eva Thompson Pruett. Clyde married Vaughn Munsell in Billings on October 4, 1941. They farmed and ranched in the Baker area until his retirement in 1977. They moved to Big Timber in 1981.
He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. Clyde was a member of the Masonic lodge and the American Legion Post 19.
He is survived by his wife of Big Timber; three sons, Calvin Ray of Billings, Steven Dale of Fort Bridger, Wyoming and Wesley Ley of Fairmont, Minnesota; five grandchildren; three sisters, Faye Gardner of Sheridan, Wyoming, Elizabeth Cox of Plano, Texas and Freddy O'Bannon of Garden City, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 30 at 1 p.m. from the First Congregational Church with the Reverend Martin Siebert officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites was in Mountain View Cemetery.
