Jim Jay, big time generous, good natured, & relational. Friends and family were top on his Life's Priority List.

He never missed a chance to speak thoughtful and loving words about his champion: his Mom, Clara Turner Jay (passed). Nor did he avoid sharing his heartache when his Dad, Mark F. Jay, passed.

He spoke proudly and often of his daughter Medea Malloy Copeland (Yuma, Arizona), loved and trusted his sister, Nanette Neely (Wenatchee), looked up to his brother Fritz Jay, 18 years his senior (Seattle). He was known as a sensitive poet to his niece, Tana Lombardo (Seattle), and as a passionate musician that loved to jam with his nephews, Mike Jay (Seattle) and Mark Jay (Pasco), as well as many dear friends that were like family to him.

An artful quote of Jim's was: "Forgiveness is the gateway to love so open your heart and let the sunshine in" which is reflected in a verse in Luke 1 translated "...Tell his people that they will be saved through the forgiveness for their sins. Our God is merciful and tender. He will cause the bright dawn of salvation to rise on us and to send sunshine from heaven on all those who live in the dark shadow of death, to guide our steps into the gateway path of peace."

Jim will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved him.

There will be a graveside memorial celebration of Jim's life at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 9th, 2011 at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S. Union, Kennewick, WA. Please join the family after the service at the home of Cheri Stafford, 1216 W. 27th Ave., Kennewick, WA.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to World Vision, PO Box 9716 Federal Way, WA 98063-9716
