W. W. Griner has a CSA pension application on line in the GA Archives. He gives his birth as October 1841. He says he enlisted in March 1862 and served with Co. I of the 50th GA regiment. He says he surrendered with his unit at Appomattox Court House, VA. His witness, Martin Roe, says they were captured right before the surrender. See GA Pension Record # 178147-0098. Mr. Griner was also a witness on the pension application of Archie McMillan from the same unit and Berrien County, GA. See that record at # 178147-00932
