Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem with Rev. Don Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery with full military rites conducted. Visitation will be after 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Stivers was born Oct. 18, 1907 in Richland County, the son of William and Gertrude (Byrd) Stivers. He married Ada Varner May 30, 1928 in Olney. She preceded him in death in 1981.
Mr. Stivers was a general oil field worker. He was a pumper and roustabout. He worked for City Service Oil Company for 25 years. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion in Albion, Disabled American Veterans, and Albion Moose.
Mr. Stivers is survived by his close friend, Inez Harper of West Salem.
Mr. Stivers was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
