George Clifford Bryant, 95, born Oct. 16, 1910, to James E. and Suzie Davis Bryant, in Praque, Okla. on the Sac and Fox Reservation, passed away on July 9, 2006 at his home in Huntsville. Mr. Bryant worked most of his life as a machinist, loved fishing, and was a member of Lodge #225 Odd Fellows in Houston. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, James E. Bryant; three sisters, Mae Ladre, Pearl Breshier, and Ida Mae Dickey; and three brothers, John Bryant, Bill Bryant, and Earl Bryant. Mr. Bryant leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy Bryant; son, Reagan Bryant and wife Peggy; a granddaughter, Judy Meyers and husband Perry; great-granddaughters, Rachelle Norman and husband Shaun, Mellisa Arredondo and Jennifer Myers; four great-grandsons, and a nephew, Clifford Lee Bryant and wife Shirley. Mr. Bryant will lay in state throughout the day on Tuesday, July 11,2006 with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at the Huntsville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Kirby officiating. Pallbearers will be Clifford Lee Bryant, Ed Autherholt, David Autherholt, Willie Bell, Bud Sconce, and Steven Myers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Provost and Terry Henderson. Interment will follow in Falba cemetery in Huntsville under the direction of Huntsville Funeral Home.
