Mr. Reinowski died early Wednesday morning at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines, where he had been a patient for two months.
He was born in Germany Jan. 9, 1890, coming to Carroll with his parents in 1895. His parents were Julius and Minnie Wentzel Reinowski. He received his education in the Carroll schools, and on July 16, 1921, was married to Elizabeth Pluckhahn at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll by the late Rev. A. J. Mueller. Their home has been at 426 East Sixth Street for the past 40 years. Mr. Reinowski was associated with the Chicago and North Western Railway Company for 35 years, retiring in April, 1952. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
A World War I veteran, Mr. Reinowski served in the casual detachment of the 900th demolition group. He was a member of Co. B of the 318th Engineers of the 6th Division, and served in the A.E.F. Gerandmer Sector and in Meuse Argonne. He was a member of Maurice Dunn Post No. 7, American Legion, at Carroll.
Surviving are his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Backes, Carroll, and Mrs. Albert Lovett, Lake City; a brother-in-law, Glenn Hunter, Glidden; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Birdella Reinowski, Longview, Wash.; three nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents two brothers, William and John Reinowski, and one sister, Mrs. Glenn Hunter.
