MITCHELL-BORDEN RANCHMAN DEAD
Colorado City, May 2 – Harold D. [Uncle Nick] Beal, 84, prominent Mitchell and Borden county rancher, was to be buried here at 3 p.m. today after funeral services at the Kiker chapel.
Dr. J. D. Simons, pastor of the First Baptist church of Colorado City, was to officiate. Pallbearers were to be Sid Reeder, Murry Jackson, Dick Cantrell, Roland Hamilton and Ralph Nason, all of Gail and Harry Hurb of Big Spring.
Mr. Beall died Monday.
Born in Milam county, Nov. 11, 1860, he came to this area in 1920. He owned a 27-section ranch which has been operated the last few years by his son, J. Homer Beal of Gail.
Surviving him are his son; a foster daughter, Mrs. J. W. Brannin of Cambridge, Mass.; a nephew whom he reared, Bill Wolffarth of Roswell, N. M.; two grandson, J. Homer Beal Jr., and Bob Beal; and three great grandchildren.
