Virgie Lou Baxter, 51, of Howards Ridge, wife of Herdie Baxter, died Monday at the Baxter General Hospital. A resident of this area since 1940, she was a member of the Clarkridge Baptist Church.
Mrs. Baxter was born in Arkansas on March 7, 1920, the daughter of Thomas and Lula Bentley Trivitt, and was married in May 1940.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Eddie Baxter, Reed Baxter, and John Baxter; three brothers, David Trivitt, Carl Trivitt, and Dewey Trivitt; three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Hathcock, Mrs. Flossie Wells, and Mrs. Kate Holstine; and four grandchildren.
Interment Tuesday, in the Howards Ridge Cemetery.
