Rachel Coffman Ashcraft died of carcinoma of the gall bladder at 74 years, 12 days of age. Informant was Howard Ashcraft of Mt. Clare, West Virginia.

Rachel married Lloyd Jefferson Ashcraft in Harrison County on 22 Jun 1871. A list of their children is included in Jefferson's biography.

Rachel's marriage record identifies her parents as Ezekiel and Cassander Coffman; however, her death certificate identifies them as John and Ann Dill Coffman.
