Dorothy E. "Dottie" Turner, 76, of Poolesville, died on Monday, Aug. 15, 2005 at the Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. She was the wife of Irvin Turner.

Born on Aug. 19, 1928 in Asheville, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah Kirby Edwards.

Mrs. Turner was a four-year volunteer and administrator at the Owens Park Senior Center in Beallsville.

Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Jane L. Munday of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Sarah Kathryn Richards of Richmond, Va.; and two grandchildren, Randi Jane Lefever and Keith Alan Lefever.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, (Rt. 109) Barnesville, Md.

The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral service. The Rev. Joe Ivey of the Barnesville Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Low Country Community Church, 4430 Murrells Inlet Road, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
