RITES FOR MONTANA PIONEER

BILLINGS, Oct. 22 (UP)—Funeral services will be held at the Episcopal church in Deer Lodge tomorrow for Mrs. Mary Valiton, 81, pioneer Montana resident, who died here Saturday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Lt. gov. and Mrs. Ernest T. Eaton.

Mrs. Valiton, ill for almost a year, was a native of Portville, N.Y. but had resided in Montana for 80 years, spending the last 10 in Billings. She was prominent in the social, church and civic life of Butte and Deer Lodge.

She assisted in the formation of the first Eastern Star lodge in Butte and later held an office in the Grand Lodge of Montana.
