Orson S. Chapple, 75, former Ogden resident, died Saturday in Los Angeles.
Mr. Chapple was born July 5, 1888,in Ogden, a son of William G. and Sarah Blakely Chapple. He was married to Alice Swanner from whom he was later divorced.
He was a newspaper pressman and was formerly employed by the Ogden Standard Examiner. Prior to retiring he worked for the Los Angeles Times. He was a member of the LDS church and a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Reba Chapple, Los Angeles; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Dickson, Chicago, and Mrs. Virginia Blackwell, Provo; six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Larkin Chapel of the Dawn where friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until services. Burial in Ogden City Cemetery.
