Archduchess of Austria. She was born as eighth child of Friedrich Eugen and Friederike of Brandenburg-Schwedt. In 1782 she came to Vienna and was raised at the convent of the Salesian Sisters. She later converted to Catholicism to marry Archduke Franz, nephew of Emperor Joseph II. They were married on January 6th, 1788 by Maximilian Franz, Archbishop of Cologne and youngest brother of the emperor. She and Joseph II were close friends, and she was with her youth a light during his last years. When she saw she emperor on his deathbed she fainted and went into labor. She suffered for over 24 hours and then died after giving birth to a sickly daughter. The emperor died two days after her.
