GEORGE W. ACKERSON, 77, of 881 South Fifth Street, Eldorado, died at 310 p.m. at his home.
Mr. Ackerson was born October 2, 1900, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Potts) Ackerson.
Surviving are his wife, Lena; five sons, Albert of Kewanee, IL., Orville of Opheim, Gene of Atkinson, Charles and William of L. A. County, California; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Helms, Mrs. Mary Lane, both of Atkinson; a step-daughter, Mrs. A. B. Bullock of Eldorado, three step-sons, Dr. Ernest Filberth of Harrisburg, Dr. Glenn Filberth of Mt. Vernon, IL. and Dr. John Connors of Mt. Carmel.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Sunday at Bean's Colonial Terrace in Eldorado with Rev. L D. Jolly officiating. Visitation at Bean's is from 4 p.m. today. After local services the body will be transported to Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell, Ill. for services there.
