L.C. Ross received a telegram Tuesday from Homer, Iowa, announcing the death of his mother, Mrs. Nancy Jones, who will be remembered here by many in days past. She was here with her husband who died at the home of Mr. Ross several years ago and taken to Guthrie for burial. She was the mother of Frank A. Jones, postmaster at Mehan, Okla. The body was shipped to Guthrie for burial beside her husband. The relatives were waiting Wednesday for news that would indicate the time of arrival.
