Dovie Kindrick Standley was born January 13, 1922 in Polk County to William and Dollie Millican and died March 31, 2011, at the age of 89.
Mrs. Standley loved her flowers, reading and hearing her music. She was a retiree of Lufkin Printing Company. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Union Springs Baptist Church, Corrigan, Texas.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Pat Mosley; daughters, Shirley Gentr and Linda Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Inez and Skeeter Scarborough; sister, Margaret Standley; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J. H. Kindrick in 1988 and husband, Estis Standley in 2006; 3 brothers; 1 sister; granddaughter, Delores Mosley; and son-in-law, Doyce Williams.
Services for Mrs. Standley will be April 4, 2011 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
