One of the recognized authorities on the patent laws, and an author of many articles relating to that subject, is Frank W. Dahn, patent lawyer, of Washington, District of Columbia. A close student of his profession, specializing in that intricate branch which has engaged the attention of many leaders of the American bar, he has established for himself a high reputation among those inventors who have sought his advice and professional services. His clientele is ever growing with his reputation for accomplishment, a well-earned reward for careful work and intimate knowledge of his craft.

Frank W. Dahn was born near Floyd, Iowa, January 17, 1879, son of August and Wilhelmina (Kreger) Dahn. His father was a native of Germany, his mother of Wisconsin. The former died in 1922, his mother in 1901. The boy was reared on his father's farm, and received his early education in the local public schools and at Nora Springs Seminary, Nora Springs, Iowa. He entered the Indian service at Shoshoni, Wyoming, in 1904, and was later transferred to the Indian office at Washington; later becoming a member of the Examining Corps of the United States Patent Office, from 1907-1920, when he was made a principal examiner, and shortly thereafter resigned from the government service.

Mr. Dahn studied at George Washington University, where he received the degrees of Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Laws. A post-graduate course at the University brought him the additional degree of Master of Patent Law, in 1912. He is a member of the college fraternity of Sigma Phi Epsilon, of the Brotherhood of American Yeomen, and Indian Springs Golf Club. He was admitted to the bar of the District of Columbia in 1911, and in 1920 established himself in the practice of his profession, specializing in patent law. He is a member of the american Patent Law association.

Mr. Hahn married, in 1912, Norine Norris, of Maryland. the children of the union are: 1. Wilhelmina E., born March 6, 1914. 2. Eloise N., born November 1, 1916.

On Monday, June 2, 1958, Frank W. Dahn of 4228 Leland St., Chevy Chase, Md., beloved husband of Norrine Norris Dahn, father of Mrs. Wilma E. Linkins and Mrs. N. Eloise Hauver, brother of Mrs. Anna Buckman, of Charles City, Iowa, nephew of Albert Kruger. Also survived by five grandchildren.

Friends are invited to call at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Funeral Home of Robert A. Pumphrey, Bethesda, Md., where services will be held Wednesday, June 4, at 11 a.m. Interment Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville, Md.
