Glen Fred Frank, 79, retired county road employee, died Friday night, August 19, 1988 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic. A lifelong Cass County resident, he lived in Cumberland and for the last six weeks had been a resident of Heritage House. The son of John M. and Elizabeth Tanner Frank, he was born October 10, 1908 in Noble Township and attended rural school. He was married to Esther Marie Meyer in Atlantic January 30, 1935. Mr. Frank was employed by Cass County as a road maintenance foreman and retired in 1973. He was a member of the Mayflower Gospel Chapel and an elder in the church south of Cumberland. Surviving are a daughter, Glenda Andrew of Council Bluffs and her husband, Loyd; two granddaughters, Jo and Julie Andrew; a brother, Dan Frank of Atlantic and his wife, Elberta; a sister, Vera McFadden of Plainview, Texas, and her husband, Roy; three sisters-in-law, Alma Eppelsheimer of Griswold, Iva Meyer of Atlantic, and Marie Frank of Boulder, Colorado; sever nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, who died last December 27; his parents; three brothers, George, Floyd, and Calvin Frank; three sisters, Viola Meyer, Bertha Marten, and Gracie Frank in infancy. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 23 at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, with Johnny Mitchell officiating. Interment was in the Atlantic Cemetery.
