Born in Irwin Township, she was the daughter of Jacob F. and Anna Walter Huffman. Delila married Carlile Cross Coast (the name was prevously Ghost, but was changed to Coast) and was the mother of Elizabeth Catherine (Martin), Christina Jane (McFadden), Samuel Jackson, Mary Della (Baker), Laura Ann (McLaughlin), Alice Louella (Jones), Sarah Emily (Jones), Lewis Walter, James Braden, Elethea Mae (Coast), Peter Floyd, Ida Etta (Irwin), Samuel and Clarence Coast.
