---Mrs. Weise died at her home in the Third ward this morning at 8:30 o'clock, aged 80 years, from senile debility and the grip. Mrs. Weise was an old resident of this city, having lived here a number of years. The funeral services will be held from the Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Interment in the city cemetery.

Death of Mrs. Weise
Died Monday morning at 8 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gus Rathke, living in the Third ward, Mrs. Weise, aged 80 years.
Mrs. Weise has been in poor health for some time past, but her death was sudden and unexpected. This morning she got up feeling as well as usual, and after breakfast sat down in her chair. Her daughter, Mrs. Rathke, shortly afterwards called to her in regard to something, and receiving no answer went to her and found her dead in her chair.
Mrs. Weise was a lady whom all knew but to love, and her relatives and friends were sorry to learn of her sudden death. The funeral was held from the Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Interment in the city cemetery.

Gravesite Details
Note: Although this marker spells the last name "Wiese", succesive generations have spelled the name "Weise". In Dora's paperwork for a soldier's widow's pension, she is emphatic that her husband spelled his name Weise.
