Edwin Eual Acord, 49, an employee of the Newark Stove Co., died at 8:05 a. m. Sunday in his home, 70S Park Street, Buckeye Lake, of a heart attack. He had been in failing health the past three weeks.

Mr. Acord a resident of Buckeye Lake the past year, was born Aug. 5, 1903, in Oceana, W. Va., the son of Lewis Bilton Acord and the late Mrs. Nellie (Bowden) Acord.

Surviving are his widow, the former Magdalene Vogel, a son, Edwin Acord and two daughters, Ilene and Rosemary and his father, all of the home.

The deceased was a veteran of World War II, and served with the U. S. Army with Co. A. 797 Military Police Battalion in the European Theater.

The body is at the Browning Funeral Home in Hebron where services will be held at 1 p. m. Wednesday with the Rev. Chester Alspach officiating. Burial will be made in Augustine Cemetery near Sugar Creek.
