CARRASCO

Rosary will be said today at 8 p.m. in the West Funeral Home chapel for Candelario Olivas Carrasco Sr., 77, Rte. 1, who died in the hospital Friday.

Funeral Mass will be recited Monday at 10 a.m. in the San Jose Church with the Rev. Alquin Hunter of the San Jose Mission officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.

Born in Mexico, Carrasco and his wife moved to Loving in 1928 where he farmed near there and in the Malaga area.

He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Loving, the Eddy County Farm Bureau, the Carlsbad Growers Co-op and the Crusisitas.

Survivors include: two sons, Candelario A. Carrasco Jr. and Conrado A. Carrasco, both of Loving; four daughters, Cornelia Marinez of Denver, Colo., and Celia Vadez, Concepcion Onsurez and Corina Urquidez, all of Loving; three brothers, Pablo Carrasco of Redford, Texas, and Salome Carrasco and Catarino Carrasco, both of Loving; six sisters, Maria Ruiz of Reedley, Calif., Francisca Holguin of Otis, Petra Gonzalez of Loving, and Adela Luna, Angelita Hensley and Manuela Hernandez, all of Carlsbad; a grandparent, Celo Rodriquez, Carlsbad; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Carrasco, Raymundo Hernandez, Raul Rodriquez, Gilbert Hernandez, Victor Lara and C.I. "Peter" Gunn.
