Norah Baring was born Norah Minnie Baker in Acton, London and became a famous stage and film actress. She was an instinctive actress who could transmit her acting ability to both stage and screen. The most famous role associated with Norah is the part of..Diana Baring in the Alfred Hitchcock film 'Murder'(1930) and also well known for playing the female lead in the Anthony Asquith silent thriller film - A Cottage On Dartmoor(1929).
Baring stated she wanted to be an artist, and studied art.The passion for acting came later, she was certainly a gifted stage actress with the gift of believability to her role.She became a very familiar name on the London stage.
