Shawn Matthew Brewer, age 18, of Muscle Shoals, Ala., died Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at Morrison Funeral Home, of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Mike Sams officiating. Burial will follow in Barton Cemetery.
Shawn was a Colbert County native and was preceded in death by his father, Brett Reath Brewer. He was a 2007 graduate of Muscle Shoals High School, a student at UNA and an employee at Target.
He is survived by his mother, Sharon Johnson Burton, of Virginia; grandparents, Bobby and Glenda Johnson, of Muscle Shoals, Troy and June Brewer, of Tuscumbia; great-grandfather, Clyde Burns, of Muscle Shoals; brothers, Brettley Brewer, of Hackleburg, Gage Brewer, of Tuscumbia, Jackie Burton and Jesse Burton, both of Virginia; sisters, Kristen Stokes, of Oxford, Miss., Kaleigh Brewer, of Tuscumbia; uncle, Troy Brewer Jr., of Tuscumbia; and special cousins, Donna and Skylar Rivera.
Pallbearers are Carlos Rivera, Troy Brewer Jr., Jonathan Goodwin, Tommy Bynon, Leo Johnson and Johnny Stonecipher.
