BURLINGTON - Charles E. DeMoss, 89, Burlington, died Wednesday night at a Burlington nursing home.
He was born Aug. 10, 1882 at Hartford. Mr. DeMoss was a retired painter and a member of the Burlington United Methodist Church.
He was married to Florence Ada Puffer Nov. 17, 1916 at Emporia. She survives at home.Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Everett Baker, Montrose, Calif.; and 2 sons, Quinton DeMoss, Burlington; and Charles E. DeMoss, Jr., Benton, Ill.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be Saturday at the Burlington United Methodist Church with burial in Graceland Cemetery, Burlington. Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
