MRS. ETHEL WONDERS SUCCUMBED TO LONG ILLNESS FRIDAY NIGHT
Several Years Affliction and Much Suffering Was Ended by Death Messenger. Husband and Daughter Survive.
"The community was shocked and grieved Saturday morning to learn of the death of Mrs. Merrit Wonders, whose long suffering was ended late Friday night. The condition of the deceased had been critical for many months, and the end, while sudden, was not unexpected. She had made a brave fight to regain her health but fought a losing battle.
"Ethel Zadie Wonders, daughter of Jonathan and Margaret Bonawit, and wife of Merritt Wonders, was born near Risingsun and spent her entire life in this community. She was aged about fifty years, and leaves besides her husband, one daughter, Ruth. Other surviving relative are: a brother, D. J. Bonawit and three sisters; Mrs. Amanda Bauman, Mrs. Ida Zimmerman of Fostoria and Mrs. Vernie Putnam of Denver, Colo.
"Mrs. Wonders was educated in the Risingsun schools and has spent her married life in this place. A lover of home and her family, she lived a life devoted to her husband and their daughter, both of whom have the sympathy of their wide circle of friends.
"Funeral services were held at the Church of God on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. F. M. Turner. Inerment was made in Trinity cemetery."
