Dayton, Oct. 16 - Ferris Bartholomew, 62, died suddenly of a heat attack at his home in Stockwell at 6 o'clock this evening. He was a lifelong resident of Stockwell, having been born there on Sept 14, 1871., the son of John C. and Lulu (Brown) Bartholomew. Mr. Bartholomew married Miss Jessie M. Claypool in 1897 and managed a farm near Stockwell for some time. For the past eight years he has managed the Co-operative Supply Co., store there. His death occurred just after he had returned to his home for the night, having worked all day. He was a member of the Stockwell M.E. church. Surviving are the widow; there daughters; Mrs. Olive Blunk, of Frankfort; Mrs. Margaret Leamon of Lafayette Route 8, and Miss Helen Bartholomew, Lafayette school teacher; and one brother, William C. Bartholomew, of Indianapolis.
