Doris Forehand Baker, 78, died Wednesday at the Brian Center.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late David A. Forehand and Ila Creech Forehand. Mrs. Baker was a retired teacher assistant with the Atlanta City Schools in Georgia and was a member Westwood United Methodist Church in Goldsboro.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Donald Stewart officiating.
Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband, Gilbert P. Baker; her brother, James Edward Forehand of Goldsboro; and four sisters, Annie F. Johnson of Goldsboro, Ruby F. Braswell of Goldsboro, Ruth F. Fisher of New Bern and Hazel F. Albert of Goldsboro.
The family will greet friends Friday from 7 until 9 p.m. at the residence at 2046 Azalea Drive, Goldsboro, and immediately following the service at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Westwood United Methodist Church, 130 Short Street, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
