Joseph Augustine Paladino, 80, of Conway, died Tuesday (Aug. 6, 2002) at the Fort Roots Veteran's Hospital in North Little Rock.

He was born in Conway on Nov. 7, 1921, a son of the late Peter A. and Edith Moser Paladino.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brian D. Horton and a brother, Frank R. Paladino.

He was retired from Borden Dairy Co. of Arkansas, an Army Veteran of World War II, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a loving son, brother, husband and father.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Bailey Paladino; three sons, Micheal J. Paladino of Camden, David C. Paladino of Conway, Steven C. Paladino of Flower Mound, Texas; two daughters, Nancy Horton of Lynchburg, Va., and Christy Vaughan of Quitman; three brothers, Thomas A. Paladino of Conway, Rocky A. Paladino of Little Rock, and Peter R. Paladino of Malvern; a sister, Mary L. Sprick of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; six grandsons, two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Roller-McNutt Chapel, Conway, with Father Tom Byrne C.S.Sp. and the Rev. Tim Kellerman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Horton, Brandon Horton, Jonathan Paladino, Corey Paladino, Richard Vaughan and Colby Thomas. Honorary pallbearer will be Taylor Paladino.

General visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home.
