They settled on their homestead northwest of McLeod in 1900 and remained there until 1924 when they built themselves a beautiful house in McLeod, where she resided until her death, except for the time in which she was in the hospital where she passed away. She had been in the hospital since April 9. She suffered from a paralytic stroke and a heart ailment.
She is survived by her husband; three children, Mrs. Anton Sorlin (Ida) of Hatton, North Dakota, and Casper and Jalmer of McLeod; an adopted daughter, Mrs. J. E. Brennan of San Diego, California; one sister, Mrs. August Grondahl of Minot; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
