Emeline married William Linsey (Lindsey?, went by Lindsey) Kennedy (1848-1922) on 01 Aug 1871 at Davidson County, North Carolina. Emeline and Lindsey were the parents of seven known children, namely:

2. Anise A. "Annie" Kennedy Skeen (1874-1939)
3. Thomas Wilson Kennedy (1876-1918)
4. Lulu Kennedy Head (1881-1963)
