Micajah Phipps, age 64, died at a hospital in Louisville last Friday night of kidney trouble, he had gone to the hospital for an operation.
Mr. Phipps married Martha E. Rector, January 10, 1884. He lived in Monticello for several years. For the past several years he had been operating a store at Slat. He was a good citizen.
He is survived by his widow, two daughters and one son.
The funeral services were held at Old Charity, Sunday. // Son of Cyrena Haynes & John Phipps
