Mrs. Ammen, 88, of Pineville died at 3 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 1994, in The Versailles.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Pineville, and she helped in organizing the Central Louisiana Camellia Society.
She was a charter member of Alexandria Garden Club. She was a member of Gulf State Camellia Society, Matinee Music Club, YWCA, Chamber of Commerce and Rapides General Hospital Auxilliary. She was a three-term president of Rapides Parish Library Board, and in 1984 was recipient of Alexandria Lions Club Outstanding Citizens Award.
Survivors include one brother, Alton Brister of Alexandria; one sister, Jettie Smith of Pineville; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until time of services Monday in the church.

Services for Kumalee "Kay" Ammen were at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church, Pineville with Dr. Mark Brister, Dr. Larry Baker and Dr. C. W. Brister officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park under direction of Hixson Bros.
