DEATHS
Philetus Lake - The body of the late Philetus Lake, who died suddenly at his home in Schenectady on Monday, will be brought to Oneonta on the 12:41 p.m. train today, and the funeral services will be held at Methodist Episcopal church at 1 o'clock with interment at Glenwood cemetery.
Mr. Lake came to Oneonta from Stamford in 1888, and remained in the employ of the D & H company, as carpenter, since the time until a year ago, when he removed to Schenectady, where he has since worked his trade. Mr. Lake was born in 1842 and was married in 1870 to Anna Totten, who with two sons, Eugene and Claude Lake, both residing in Schenectady, survive him.
Mr. Lake was a veteran of the Civil War, surviving throughout the war as a member of Company K, 120th New York volunteers. He was a member of E. D. Farmer post, No. 119, G. A. R., and well known in Oneonta and made numerous friends during his long residence here.
