MRS. ANN FOXAL
Jane Ann Moody was born at Lonaconing, Md. March 26, 1860. She was the daughter of Richard and Mary Jane Moody and one of a family of nine children. Her childhood and youth were spent in the region of her birth.
On October 14, 1880 she was married at Barton, Md., to James Foxal. They made their home in Maryland for three years, then came to Oskaloosa, Iowa in 1883. To years later they moved to Wauneta, Nebr., where they remained for eleven years. They returned to Lucas county, Iowa, in 1896, where their home has been ever since.
Five children came to them, all living and present at the mother's funeral. They are Mrs. Frances Belle Grauberger of Denver; Richard Joseph Foxal of Hamburg; Oscar Thomas Foxal of Flagler, Colo.; Mrs. Mary Ann Wentz and Lucien James Foxal, both of Chariton.
Mrs. Foxal was a member of the Methodist church all her life. Her church and her home were the paramount interest in her life. She gave her whole life to her family, making them a real home in the deepest sense of the word. She was very industrious, patient and faithful, a splendid neighbor, a true Christian, and had a host of warm friends.
She leaves to mourn, besides the husband and children, the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Belle Lamb, Wauneta, Nebr.; John Moody, of Hygiene, Colo.; Mrs. Martha Reed, of Galesburg, Ill.; Stephen Moody, of Wauneta, Nebr.; Elbert Moody and Mrs. Emma Polly, both of Wauneta, Nebr.
Funeral services were held at the church in Oakley on Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock, followed by interment in the Chariton cemetery.
