Notes from The Wall:
Ray was a friend and fellow member of Co. F (Long Range Patrol) 51st Inf. Airborne and his MOS was 11F4P. Ray was taken from this world far too soon. He will however, live on in the hearts of all his lurp brothers. We miss you Ray!

I was so proud of Ray when he went off to serve his country. I had a calendar at work and I marked off each day until he would be coming home. When he died, I thought my world had ended. He was a truly wonderful person and my first and only true love.

Ray-It's been a long journey for me since that day. I only knew you for a very short time, but long enough to remember that you were a man of principle and character. Reliving the mission was difficult, but necessary for closure. You made it possible. Thank you,my friend.

Although 35 years have passed, I remember you and that awful day like it was yesterday. While we were not "old" friends, we were "good" friends. I have often attempted to locate friends, family or loved ones in Elyria, to no avail. I am now located approx. 15 minutes from your home town and would be able to put closure to this part of my life if I could just talk to someone. Remember, John Chichester will "NEVER" forget you!

Next tuesday will be your 38th anniversary in heaven. I think of you often but Oct 31st has a very special place in my heart. For the past 37 Halloweens I have always had you as my main and primary thought. It is YOUR day.
I miss you!
Love
Chi

We served together only a short while, yet I remember you so well. You were that type of person and friend.
