Sandra Jean Jenny, 73, a loving wife, mother, and doting grandmother, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 26, 2011.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Hurst. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. prior at the church.

An additional memorial service will be held in Leigh in July prior to her burial in the Leigh Cemetery.

Sandra was the first child born to Delores and Edwin Wurdeman on a farm south of Leigh on July 5, 1937.

After living in numerous states, she settled in Bedford, Texas, where she enjoyed raising their three children.

She was employed by Montgomery Ward's and J.C. Penney, and retired 15 years after working as a contact lens technician.

She enjoyed extensive travel and spending her winters in Arizona.

A highlight of her life was taking a cruise with all of her family and their spouses.

She loved doing crafts and especially quilting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather; one brother; and one sister.

She is survived by her husband; three children; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers; and one sister.
