Delphia "Del" Remsberg passed away peacefully, in her home surrounded by her family, on March 29, 2011, at the age of 79. She was born in Hindsville, AR to Elbert and Jewel Guthrie on May 27, 1931. Del and her family left Arkansas in 1940, and after many moves, settled in Entiat, WA in 1945. Del married Mel Fisher of Leavenworth, WA in 1947, and they had four children, Donna Northwind (Larry), Janet Mabes (Pat), all of East Wenatchee, Diane Spencer (Scott) of Castle Rock, WA and Roger Fisher (Debbie) of Kelso, WA. Many locals will remember her as Del Ellison, owner and operator of the "Hiway Grocery" mini market in East Wenatchee for many years. Her constant smile, charm and quick wit made her many friends and regular customers. In 1999, she married George Remsberg of Winthrop, WA and they made their home in East Wenatchee. Del and George enjoyed traveling to Alaska, Arizona and Arkansas in their motorhome. Del also looked forward to the annual family camp out where she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Del is survived by her husband, George, of the home; brothers, Ernest Guthrie of Cashmere, WA, Keith Guthrie of Fayetteville, AR and Johnny Guthrie of Dryden, WA. She also leaves behind her four children; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Del has reunited in Heaven with her parents; brother, Earl; and sisters, Ollie, Maxine and Lillian. She will be deeply and truly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
