Janie N. Kindred Hawkins was born Nov. 26, 1922 in Albany, OK and passed away March 27, 2011. Janie was the baby of 10 siblings. She was a member of Tyler Street United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She retired from Reserve Life Ins. Co. after working as payroll manager for 28 years. She worked 5 years for Schneider Bernnet & Hickman Stock Brokers in the same capacity. She was preceded in death by husband Alvin Leon Kindred, father Richard Lonzo Brewer, mother Ola Mae Shull Brewer, three sisters and five brothers. She is survived by husband Raymond Hawkins; daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Henry Peerman of Garland, TX; granddaughter Laurie Wainscott and husband Stephen; great grandson Logan Trevor and great granddaughter Macie Emma, all of McKinney, TX; stepdaughter Kay Everitt and her husband Darrell; stepsons Gary Hawkins and wife Marcelle, and Ronald Hawkins and wife Paula; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday March 31, 2011, Northlake Baptist Church, 1501 N. Country Club Rd., Garland, TX 75040. Visitation and viewing will begin at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
