[Obit] William Powell Arnold was born Dec.13,1885 in Coyote Springs, near Rasel, Utah. At the age of one year he moved with his parents to Baker City,Oregon, two years later the family moved to the State of Washington. After a residence of about two years in that state they returned to Baker City and in 1892 moved to Coos County,Oregon. Settling on Hall's Creek where they made their home for about a year then moved to what is known as North Carolina settlement near the town of Powers. From there the family moved to Myrtle Point. On Aug.18,1892, he was accidentally shot. He resided in the Coquille Valley until 1906, at which time he moved to the State of Washington where he remained five years where he went to Santa Ana,Calif. and from there to Blythe where he died Nov.15,1916 of typhoid fever. He was 31 years 11 months and 2 days old. He leaves a father and mother, 6 sisters and two brothers. Buried in Norway Cemetery. [MPE- 11/23/1916]
