Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter, Thurs. Sept. 30, 1965, p. 32, c. 6. St. Patrick's Rites Set for J.J. Gaffney. City Resident Expires at Age of 53; Body to be in State. Joseph J. Gaffney, 53, of 180 W. Division St., died at 6 p.m. Wednesday at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born Dec. 21, 1911, the son of Edward and Mayme McNinch Gaffney. Survivors include a son, Thomas, city; two brothers, Thomas, city, and Michael, Sullivan; a sister, Mrs. C. Brown, Okauchee; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the Uecker‑Witt Funeral Home. funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Rev. George C. Eilers officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.

Funeral services for Joseph J. Gaffney, who died Wednesday were held at 9 a.m. today at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church.

Rev. Paul J. Wittemann officiated.  Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Walter Schiefelbein, Ralph Spang, Lawrence Diguis, Arthur LeShay, Manlely LeShay and Norris Rautenbach.
