Jacob, the youngest son of Walter Crow, received a land grant of March 12, 1783, near Brumfield.
Jacob was known as 'Blue Springs Jacob'. He was a private in the 4th, 8th, and 12th Virginia Regiments from 1777-1779 during the Revolutionary War.
Jacob died 23 April, 1823 and was buried at Union Cemetery, at Brumfield."
