"Ivan Ray Judia, son of George Henry Judia and Eva Lillian Cantrell was married December 12, 1920, to Etta Elizabeth Mahaney, born November 5, 1899 in Comanche Coiunty to Mardie Elizabeth Butler and George Newton Mahaney. Ray had a tremendous love of music inspired by his father and sister. He played in the Cisco Community Band and later started his own group. The Judia Jazz Four, just after World War I. Later a larger band was formed which traveled around the area striking up the great old "Big Band Tunes". He also ran the Judia Theater, founded by Cap Judia. In later years, the Judia's ran the Lake Cisco cabins. They shared a love of hunting and fishing. Ray was a respected game warden in Cisco for many years. Ray and Etta had one son, Frank Cane Judia, born June 22, 1923 in Cisco, died October 8, 1988 in Tennessee. Ray died January 14, 1973, and is buried at Cisco. Etta (known as Dutchie) was highly active in civic clubs during her younger years. However, at age 67, she embarked in the art field of oil painting, winning many awards." (Judia Terry.)
