SMITLEY----Lillian P. (Kelly) Smitley, age 82 of Orange Park, FL passed away March 28, 2011 following a brief illness. She was born November 19, 1928 in Jacksonville, FL, the daughter of Vollie Lee Kelly and Helen Lahti Kelly. She retired from Civil Service at NADEP following many years of outstanding service as a Paralegal. Lillian was Past President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert W. Smitley, Sr.; her daughter Valinda S. Smitley; son Robert W. Smitley, Jr. and his wife Pam; granddaughters Caitlin M. Vickers and her husband Christopher, and Bobbi N. Dugan and her husband Donald; her sister Susan Perkins and her husband Thomas; her brother in law Stanley Smitley of Woodburn, IN; many nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by her brother Edwin Kelly. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday April 1, 2011 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park with Rev. Terry Gore, Pastor of Franklin Street Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of the Masonic at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. Family members will greet friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, kindly remit memorial donations to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
