Hugo Ernst Bleicher was a non commissioned officer with the German Abwehr in the Second World War.He was a firm believer in all Nazi policies to rule the world, and capture all those who were enemies of the Nazi State- he went about this work with ruthless efficiency and captured many Agents of S.O.E. and members of the French Resistance.
He did capture Mathilda Carre and she betrayed all members of her network. He also captured S.O.E. agents..Peter Churchill and Odette Sansom. All captives were then handed over to the Gestapo, and were brutally interrogated and tortured. Then sent to a concentration camp for execution in most cases.
Bleicher - never directly tortured any of the captured resistance members...all were handed over to the Gestapo. He was fully aware of the treatment and fate of the captives.
Bleicher was also linked to the said to be double agent Henri Dericourt, he had a flat near to where Dericourt lived.
At the end of the Second World War, Bleicher was arrested by the Dutch Police and imprisoned by the Allied Courts.
In 1954 - Bleicher published his memoirs: Colonel Henri's Story.
